Gunjur is located on the coast about 45 minutes drive from central Gambia and the airport. You will stay at Footsteps Eco-Lodge, a lodge that cares about the local community and surrounding environment. They have taken responsibility thereafter.

Birdwatching in The Gambia

Description: The Gambia is famous for its many different bird spiecies. This trip brings you to varous places where different spicies are being observed frequently. All the excursions are within a radius of 1,5 hrs drive from your lodge. Footsteps, your accommodation is an oase in its self when it comes to birdwatching and as a hotspot for many birders. During a couple of hours resting by the fresh water pool you might identify tens of different spiecies. Our local birind expert, Alex will join you the four days excusrions by vehicle while Lamin will take care of the excursion in and around Footsteps area.

Yoga on the Beach in The Gambia
Location: The Gambia: Kartong
Date: Different dates available: 25th Nov - 2nd Dec 2011.
3rd - 13th January 2012. You can attend 7 or 10 days and your arrival day.
3rd - 10th February 2012 with the possibility to extend to 12th February which includes Kartong Musicfestival.

Description: This trip is a unique possibility to practice yoga and explore what The Gambia has to offer. As participant you will practice yoga twice daily by the sea. Description: Are you going to The Gambia? Take a few days off the tourist track to experience small scale projects in The Gambia. Community Excursions Folder consist of six different excursions which can all be booked separately of each other, from one to six days full of local experiences. Learn how tourism can have an impact on a local community and how important it is for tourists to supports these projects. The excursions varies from “Catch your own lunch”, “Drumming and Dancing” lessons, Storytelling and Paper Recycling Skills Project, Solar Cooking, Tie & Dye and the women project BAFROW.
