ROMANIA, Apuseni Mountains: Cycle the Apuseni Heartland

Description: Biking in this area is about discovering the slower pace of life, from savouring each flavour you create at a special traditional barbecue evening to chatting with the locals as you bike through the villages. accommodation (based on 2 – 4 persons per room), all meals, local guide, transportation (including return transfer to the airport) and activities as per
itinerary. Flight is excluded. 
Description: A pack, a trail and yourself is everything you need. Think of it as Zen on foot: you eat when you're hungry, you trek and you sleep when it's time to rest. Despite the effort, roaming freely on the trail is satisfying in a way few things in our normally hectic lives can be. Crafted for the avid trekkers, the itinerary follows an imaginary line crossing the Apuseni Mountains, passing through forests, deep gorges, mountain pastures and karst plateaus, all in one: a true lost world. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views; gentle winds and great mountain people who live close to Mother Earth and always happy to share their view upon life with you, without asking you: “Why on Earth are you climbing the mountains?”

Description: Welcome to Maramures and Transylvania. You will pass village after village, scenic landscape, local people and experience culture
heritage and traditional handicrafts. Highlights are the Iza and Mara river valleys to admire the beautiful scenery; the " Merry Cemetery " at the church
of Sapanta with its amazing wooden sculptures and originality; wooden churches (part of the Unesco World Heritage) and villages like Botiza village
(dowry chests and rugs), Viseul de Jos area (folk costume and fabrics), Bogdan Voda village (carpets and wickerwork) and Sacel village (rough red ceramics

ROMANIA, Transylvania: The Heritage of Transylvania Cycling tour
Location: Romania: Transylvania: Sinaia, Brasov, Statiunea Sambata, Sighisoara, Sibiu, Balea and Curtea de Arges. Starting point Bucharest airport.

Price: 750 euros,- per person including accommodation (based on 2 persons per room), breakfast, local guide, bike rentals,
transportation (including return transfer to the airport) as per itinerary. Flight is excluded.
Description: Cycling through Transylvania you will be surrounded by its beautiful scenery, cultural heritage and landscape which create the perfect frame for a cycling holiday. This area is a part of the magnificent Carpathian Mountains (rising at above 2000m) in the north-west of Romania and is among the most advanced regions of the country. You will visit famous medieval towns dating from the 14th century as Brasov, Sighisoara and Sibiu as well as small villages. Explore high-roofed wooden churches, citadels, legendary castles, troubled history, stop at local handicraft workshops, splendid mountain scenery and alpine peaks and scattered villages. You will also cycle the Transfagarasan road which climbs up to 2000m, crossing some of the highest mountains in Romania, and of course you will visit Bran Castle (known as Draculas’ Castle).

Description: This trip introduce you to the unique nature of Apuseni Mountains and give you the opportunity to meet people and communities where old customs, traditions and crafts are still alive, despite the challenges of modern times. All designed as a learning experience in partnership with Apuseni Experience. The trails will take you through glades and forests, up to the mountains ridges or down to the caves and you will discover and learn about the nature wonders of karst world.You will meet people who still shape the clay with their restless hands like their ancestors did or play their traditional instruments or just work their land and live their lives like they did since ever. Listen to their unforgettable stories so full of meanings. Apusenig Mountains is located near the Hungarian border and the trip is a combination of trekking by foot and transfer by car or horse cart.

ROMANIA, Bucovina: Mountain Horseback Riding in Dorna County

Description: Welcome to Bucovina and the Dorna county! Experience stunning nature in Calimani Mountains and local culture while riding through sheepfarms and settlements. You can interact with the shepherds and even taste a fresh local cheese, see them how they work the land and stop for a few minutes chat if you like. You will stay in local guesthouses, pensions and camping sites. The pension Amfora is located to the bottom of the Calimani mountains in an authenthic mountain village. Colibita pension is on the edge Colibita lake and at its left, the mountain village (1000 m altitude) unfolds with its small white church and the few pictuesque houses and farms. The people are always friendly, open-minded, talkative, never afraid of strangers, glad to share with you their food, their shelter and traditional way of living.
