Description: Experience eight days of trekking in the mountains of Nepal, where yoga is a natural part of the experience. Learn more about yoga practice in Nepal, which combines astrology, ayurveda, work ethics and health. The trek also includes two days at 4300 meters besides Lake Gosainkunda, a mountain lake said to be one of the abodes of Shiva, the greatest Yogi of them all.

We recommend you spend a few extra days in Nepal after the trek. We can help you tailor your trip. Proposed activities in Kathmandu may be pottery courses, the Heritage Trail in Kathmandu, "cook like a local" or visit an organic farm. Alternatively, stay in the UNESCO town of Bhaktapur and see the city rise to life the next day. Or go on a three-day trip to Chitwan National Park and go on a jungle safari.

About the Instructor
Sannyasi Yogatara (Lisa Gautschi) is director of the Isha Institute, a center of yogic learning and conscious living in Kathmandu, Nepal. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Yogic Science from the Bihar Yoga University, in India and has a Masters degree in Transpersonal Psychology, specializing in creative expression. In addition to teaching yoga, she works as a yoga therapist, counselor, freelance writer, and leads yoga retreats and spiritual journeys to Nepal, India and Tibet.





Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu.
Yoga trekking in Nepal You will be picked you up at the airport and driven you to your hotel. Spend the day sightseeing in Kathmandu or relax. Welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 2: Kathmandu - Dhunche.
Briefing about the trip. After prepare for a rather long drive to Dhunche, which will take the better part of around eight hours. Rest here, before starting your trek the day after.

Day 3: Dhunche - Sing Gompa.
After a short hike to get out of the village of Dhunche, stop at a secluded spot to conduct out first Yoga stretching, which begins with the Surya Namaskar. Thereafter stretch your bodies before continuing on the trek. Steadily climb to Sing Gompa where you again spend sometime in meditation in the village.

Day 4: Sing Gompa - Gosainkunda.
Yoga trekking in NepalStart trekking after breakfast, and break for a small session of yoga along the way, before continuing on to the pristine lake of Gosainkunda. This will be a highlight as you conduct a meditation session in this holy location, also the abode of the ultimate yogi, Lord Shiva.

Day 5: Gosainkunda.
Spend an extra day here, to savor in the lake dedicated to Shiva, the greatest yogi.

Day 6: Gosainkunda - Ghopte.
Today you cross the high pass at 4600m and drop down on your way back to Kathmandu.

Day 7: Ghopte - Kutumsang.
Continuing on your way to Kathmandu today and will stay overnight in the lovelyYoga trekking in Nepal little village of Kutumsang

Day 8: Kutumsang - Chisopani.
Chisopani means cold water, and literally, this is just above the ridge of the hills surrounding Kathmandu, but since it faces north, can feel the cold from the mountains. This is your last mountain village before coming back to Kathmandu.

Day 9: Chisopani - Kathmandu.
A good morning’s yoga before you do a final trek that will bring you down to the eastern village of Sundarijal via a National Park where awaiting vehicles will bring you back to Kathmandu.
