• Connecting Oslo and Bergen with secrets of Aurland

Start this experience by exploring Oslo like a local. From the sea to the forest, with a stop at Holmenkollen Ski Jump for a splendid view over Oslo.  The following day, embark a train that will take you over the mountains to the Sognefjord including Flåm Railway, one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. Be picked up as you arrive, and spend a few days to explore the beautiful area of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary to Sognefjord, and Aurland River! Immerse into the local culture where stories and myths are perfectly told by your lovely hosts. On from Aurland, take the fjord cruise to Bergen for a couple of days to explore the old hanseatic town.

Join our local expert on an off beaten tour of Oslo. A tour that is tailor-made accordingly to your wishes and interests. Visit local markets, hidden gems of streets or small specialized shops where you can meet up with the artists themselves, learn about stories and do things the locals do!

Travel to Aurland and Sognefjord by train. The last bit is by Flåm Railway, a two hour journey that showcase some of Norway´s best landscape. From lush fjord landscapes, steep mountains, impressive waterfalls to overlooking snow-caped mountains.

When you arrive in Flåm you will be picked up and the journey will take you along the fjord to Aurland, and a river lodge by Aurlandriver. On arrival, feel the peace and quietness crawling up on you. Join your hosts for walks in the mountains and in the local community. Learn about the history of the people who lives in Aurland today and those who lived there in the passed. Visit craft makers of the area and an old summer pasture farms and mountain farms to give you a taste of the real Aurland. Travel on old farm roads by foot, use one of the bikes or paddle or row on the fjord. The options are many – but be sure that a real local in-depth experience awaits you!

After your experience in Aurland, take a cruise on Sognefjord to Bergen and arrive the city center by sea! Bergen is the second largest city of Norway and surrounded by seven mountains. We highly recommend you to walk on top of one of them!

The Aurland Valley is known as one of Norway´s most beautiful walks…? On a completely different note, you might have heard about the Aurland-shoe? This is where it comes from. Nils Tveranger is the man behind the Aurlandsskoen (as it is called in Norwegian!) and in its heydays there were 19 shoe factories in Aurland alone!

Day 1: OSLO

Arrive in Oslo. Dropped at Hotel. Evening dine with our local expert, chatting about the trip and learning more in-depth about Norway

Day 2: OSLO EXPLORATION

Join the expert on an offbeat tour of Oslo, tailor-made to interests. Visit specialised shops, meet artisans and do what the locals do.

Day 3: AURLAND

Travel to Aurland and Sognefjord by train, the last bit by the famous Flåm Railway. Stay will be at a river lodge by the Aurland River. Walk in the mountains and meet local communities

Day 4: AURLAND EXPLORATION

We continue our exploration of the Aurland, the mountains, the nature, old farms, etc.

Day 5: BERGEN

Today we do the famous travel by the fjords into Bergen via Sognefjord and arrive at the city centre by Sea. How cool is that. Walk to the hotel.

Day 6: BERGEN EXPLORATIONsecrets of Aurland

Spend the morning in the famous wooden houses street appreciating the preservation of the ancient fishing culture. Later in the afternoon, take a hike to one of the Bergens seven peaks, and appreciate the views. Take a raincoat, it can rain. Enjoy a nice farewell dinner by the harbour and hit one of the local bars for a drink before bed.

Day 7: DEPARTURE

Relax till departure from Bergen.
