• Mountain culture in Hidden Transylvania, Apuseni Mountains

The trails will take you through glades and forests, up to the mountains ridges or down to the caves where you will discover the natural wonders of the limestone karst. Visit small villages, nicely nested together in the landscape, and the pretty underground world. Visit the famous crystal cave, Farcu, and the fairytale cave Meziad which is also home for thousands of bats… Keep your head low!

You will meet people who still shape clay with their hands like their ancestors, play traditional instruments, taking egg painting to the next level or just work their land. Learn to make the local food, using a proper stove oven for the breads and locally sourced food. Why not try chilly jam on freshly ovens baked bread? Yammi!

If you are looking for a active holiday, there are plenty of hiking opportunities in the picturesque landscape and the rolling carpets of the nature´s green. The beautiful river gives opportunities for rafting and visiting a waterfall for you to take a shower and a dip in the pool below. Close to the river you can also test your climbing skills with a Via Ferrata trail, vertical up the mountain, with all the gear needed. Or try ZipLine?

In a nutshell, this is a travel back in time where old traditions are still alive and people live in their own pace and rhythm. Where the daily news are still shared and discussed in the afternoons with neighbors on the bench in front of their houses.
